Frequently Asked Questions

Participation & Instruction

  • You’ll be shown the space and can receive a brief orientation if you want one. After that, you’re free to explore at your own pace–or simply observe.

  • No. There is no required sequence and nothing to complete. You can use any stations, in any order, for as long—or as little—as you’d like. You’re also welcome to try one station, take breaks, or simply spend time in the space. It’s completely up to you.

  • Each station includes a simple written guide you can use if you want. Staff are also available if you choose to ask.

  • Only if you request support. Otherwise, you’re free to move independently.

Environment &
Sensory Experience

  • Yes. There is no music, no shouting, and no group instruction. The space is intentionally low-stimulation.

  • No. Interaction is always optional. You’re welcome to be silent and keep to yourself.

  • Yes. You can wear headphones, take breaks, or stop at any time.

Practical Questions

  • No. No diagnosis or explanation is required.

  • Yes. Quiet Strength aligns with self-determination principles and can support person-centered goals. We’re happy to coordinate as needed.

  • Yes. If you need 1:1 support, you are welcome to bring your support provider. Quiet Strength is a self-directed space, so your support provider can assist you as needed while you remain in control of your experience.

  • Some clients may be able to use SDP funding. Please contact us for assistance with SDP funding options.
